In addition to the rocks at the Western Mediterranean’s most important archaeological site, there are more rocks to talk about at Balzi Rossi. Perfectly spherical or ovoid in shape, meticulously smoothed by the sea, they form the delightful Little Beach of Balzi Rossi. In an enchanting natural setting, a small cove of rare beauty, also known as the “Egg Beach,” is a current haunt of artists, writers and a landmark of famous people. A unique panorama: red rocks, turquoise sea, plants and the scent of saltiness separating from civilization and taking you back to prehistoric times.
